Once upon a time there was a three-member college band called The Leather Canary. Eventually, their drummer (who described it as "a bad jazz band" quit an the other two members would go on to found Steely Dan.

Don't feel too bad for the drummer, though. His name is Cornelius Crane Chase, but everyone calls him by his nickname: Chevy Chase.

    Aren't those just other oranges?

Or maybe oranges are just big tangerines.

It is speculated ancient humans could not distinguish between the colors green and blue. The earliest recorded reference to the color only appeared 4,500 years ago, while written human history goes further back

Among the many things King Charles III will inherit from his mother is a McDonalds franchise. Apparently the McDonald's at Banbury Gateway Shopping Park in Banbury, Oxfordshire is owned by the royal family and is slightly more 'upscale' than your usual McDonalds, including having a wait staff to bring your Big Mac and fries to you.
But does the ice cream machine work?

In 1942..during the 1st few months of WW2..Lucille Ball helped discover a 50,000 watt transmitter and an underground Japanese spy ring in California.
She had recently had several temporary fillings put in various teeth and while driving along s stretch of road picked up throbbing signals in her head from the transmitter.

Not knowing what it was she told a fellow actor about the experience who had known about somw people having a similar experience with hearing radio signals from tooth fillings. This was a rare phenomenon due to the type of metal used in that time period.

Below is link to a video where she recounts the event

Attack Fighter Squadron 25 and the toilet bomb...

So, during the Vietnam war, pilots and ground crew from VA-25 on USS Midway decided to commemorate the 6-millionth pound of ordnance dropped during the war in a unique way:

The pertinent quote from the carrier's bridge is "What the hell is that hanging off 572's right wing?" Apparently the toilet was dropped in a shallow dive, turned hole-into-the-wind, and almost hit the Skyraider's wing...but it was successfully dropped on the enemy.

Two days ago the squadron, now known as VFA-25, had a change-of-command ceremony. Front and center during the ceremony was one of the squadron's F/A-18 Super Hornets carrying a unique piece of ordnance:

I see they've engineered it to fly a little straighter.
