Got the Signess, re-homed another pawn shop find. P226 Tacops. No box and only 1 mag but the price was good. Looks like it was barely if ever used. Now I need to go test this and P210 at the range.
Yes, I love trolling the pawn shops. Very fun past time, even though 9 times out of 10 I come up empty-handed. I’ve scored a few good finds myself.

Ha, the pic you took in the car with the pistol looks a lot like the ppl I see hawking their wares on armslist.com and texasguntrader.com. Why do folks insist on taking pics of pistols in their lap while sitting in a car? It baffles me.

Every once in a while I find some real gems that people trade in and the pawn shops price them low. Always wonder if it was someone’s grandparents/parents gun that was left to them or just someone got that hard up on luck.

I tell my wife to sell her Barbie dolls and enjoy the money because when she dies I'll be selling them cheap.

Drives me nuts sometimes, how someone will have spent a lifetime gathering very unique firearms, only to have the heirs sell them off as so much junk...like this one - gave $300 for it because the granddaughter "didn't like guns". It's a Buchel "Schuetzen".......

I picked up an unfired HK91, SP5k, and a Walther P38 at pawnshops where the managers knew a bit about the history. On the HK’s both store managers said they came in by long time customers. The HK91 was at the pawn shop for almost 2 years and the owner just went MIA and only owed a couple hundred to get it back. The SP5k came in on a small loan cause they guy needed to free up some funds, guy made sure to let them know he would be back and never even came back to make the first payment. The P38 was sad, man had a fairly large WWII collection, pawned several m1 garands, M1 carbines, P08, and a P38. They said he pawned them several times before cause he wife was sick, but would aways come pick them back up. The last time he pawned them he later found out his wife had cancer and said he wouldn’t be picking them back up.

The collectible Barbie market crashed quite a while ago. The days of having to spend $10K to get a mint, never-removed-from-box #1 are long past.
