Maybe, or an insult. I had a two tier box roll around set with professional tools when I got married. I did however do that as a gift to my kids as they left the house.Put that together yourself with good quality tools and it's not only cheaper, it's one of the best wedding presents you can give a young couple.
Makes me want to buy his stuff.
Good point. It's a good present for clueless couples, though. They're gonna be surprised how often they'll use it.Maybe, or an insult.
We need a "growing up by railways" thread. There was one by the end of my street - found all kinds of stuff.Rail cars full of beer derailed a few miles west back in the '70s.
It was a free for all until the dozers dug pits and buried it on site.
Dammit.
Especially screwdrivers. I've seen so many kitchen knives used for that.Good point. It's a good present for clueless couples, though. They're gonna be surprised how often they'll use it.
Looks like Bandit and Snowman are gonna lose that bet.View attachment 345414

We pass down good tools from generation to generation. And tell the recipient about the prior owners. When my boys started driving their own vehicles I went to Harbor Freight and bought the full meal deal and then some. Told them if they wanted the good stuff they had to buy it themselves, but to take care of what I got them until then. Worked pretty good too. Last one go theirs 15 years ago and they all still have some part of what I gave them. One of them has better tools than I do now...
