Izzat cuz of the Texas ComiCon?

I had a great time at IHOP and the show, guys. :) Bought a Magpul Angled Foregrip 2 for my S12 and a CRKT "Sting". Also got all of my knives sharpened up so you can shave with them.

I grabbed a cleaning rod for the SKS-M paratrooper I was going to get after the show (yeah, I know; that kinda confirmed I was getting it) and got the same lady to knock five bucks off a Polish Type II AKM bayonet (which is exactly the same thing I did a few months back when I bought KaliJuan an AK cleaning kit, and it was for the exact same kind of bayonet. I've got a little thing about buying AK stuff!). Then we went over to see Mel at General Firearms to get a sling for the new SKS-M, he had the new NC Star ones in black that are just like the green Chinese military issue ones (just in black). Then we drove to Seguin and picked up the Norinco, which came with several extra mags and some ammo; so all in all I had a pretty decent morning!

That said, the POSP scope I was checking out on Mark's table for $165 was gone when I went back. I wasn't sure about it, the horizontal line seemed a bit off but that may have been adjustable. I keep contemplating getting a scope for either my SGL-20 or my SAR-1, but I keep hesitating and they're gone when I go back for a second look. I guess if it was meant to happen, it would!
We're already looking forward to the Original San Antonio Gun Show on the 23rd!

    Cheers! M2

I found a belt-slide style holster for my Star BM while I was there. I can wear it in several different ways, so it'll let me explore my concealed carry options until I find what works best for me, since I'm a new CHL holder. So far, I seem to prefer IWB carry at about the 4:30 position. If my preferences continue to lean this way, I'll pick up a Galco Kingtuck or Crossbreed Supertuck in a couple weeks.

I also got some snap-caps in the calibers to match the pistols at home for training purposes.

The buddy that I brought along picked up his first ever handgun- a Ruger P95. He's stoked, and I'm impressed with the folks over at Ballistic Firearms. Real quality people over there.

All in all, a productive day.

Wahl, ah got to track Clockwork by the puddles he left in the floor as he went from knife vendor to sharpener....gotta git that boy some lessons on how ta sharpen a knife!

This show seemed a bit thin to me - maybe just 'cuz I didn't see nuthin' ta buy. Since we're havin' a buddy and his parents (who are visitin' from Japan) over tomorrow fer some BBQ, I know I won't be makin' it back - guess I'll hafta try again at the Freeman show!

Decided to save up for that show on the 23rd. I was like a kid in a toy store at Christmas at the last one. Really looking forward to this one coming up!
...I'll even make an effort to meet all you guys for breakfast like I keep promising.

Oh, this is TOO good not to share! One of the gun show vendors just called. Not for ME - but for Schoolmarm! Seems that she's bought jewelry from her before, and she was wanting to know if she'd be back out there today. She is NOT gonna live THIS down! Saw that2.jpg

i ended up with a spikes lower and a few magpul mags

Yeah, my son spotted you and your girlfriend a few rows over from us at the show. I tried to wave, but you both were not looking our way. It was too crowded to try and get over to say 'hi,' plus by the time we fought our way through the mob you would have probably moved on...
