    Did some shopping and came home sat at my loading bench looked over and saw the slingshot laying there thought nothing of it.

    Looked to the side saw my scrap rifle stock wood looked back at the sling shot and went to work. In Progress.

    LOL I was once a Mechanic for a food place they use ride on pallet jacks and the fork wheels had 8 sets of bearing per wheel. Perfect!
    I saved a few blown out bearings.

    On that stock and this grip I used 4.5" angle grinder to do 75-80% of the shaping the final and details by small tools and hand. Think of those tree trunk statues you see made from a chainsaw. Same technique pretty much. One thing is when you mess up it's pretty much over.

    That looks really good; you did great and that stock in the background looks good too. I've always been jealous of people able to take a simple log or plank of wood and transform it into art that'll last a lifetime

    You do some fine work- the grain on that wood is just: wow. What kind of wood is that?

    I used these pachinko balls for shootin' sling as not hardened so cheaper.
    As a kid I got those for free we lived near a riverbed that was always full of birds and rabbits. All those pachinko balls are still there somewhere.
