The standard socialist response to abject failure of the socialist system is to 1) invent an internal enemy to blame everything on then persecute and eradicate 2) blame the great evil capitalist boogeyman the United States and proclaim every problem caused to socialism's shortcomings to be part of an evil plot by the Americans to destabilize and take over the country, and 3) find someone to invade, preferably a smaller and weaker country that can't put up much resistance.

I remember firewatching in the early 90's where they stored refrigerant on a ship. The cylinders had Trichlorofluoromethane written on them. I was practicing pronouncing that word out loud to combat my boredom.

I used to use that, almost had nausea, in my training classes back in the day it always amazes me how many highly educated people would sit and take copious notes until it finally dawned on what I was talking about. you could watch them grin and put their pencils down, fold their arms and lay back.
