You went to a Masonic college? Didn't know there was such a thing.
No. I turned 21 in my junior year at WT. That summer I did my work and finished night 1st man walked upon the moon. My uncle from south Texas came. He told me then, I could always remember the date. He was right. Astronaut Neil Armstrong walked upon the moon on July 20, 1969 at 09:56PM here in Texas. When ordering my class ring in 1970, I had them put that stone in it. Served 2 purposes. My stone is not blue, like yours. It is red.

I carry these knives- Chinese 440C steel, g10 scales, axis lock, flick-open yet legal most everywhere: $22 from Bezzy.

They need to be modified to flick- good set of Wiha torx, soldering iron to warm loctite on screws- clean manf. gunk and remove one leg of the axis lock spring. Whiff of weak loctite during reassembly. Now you can drop flick or snap open. Good reversible pocket clip that doesn't destroy jeans

G727 Ganzo or Firebird FB727 is model

I just got a F7601. Amazingly well built for the price! Great blade shape, feels nice in the hand, and I love the super deep pocket clip. I can flick it open no problem, but that spring on the lock is way too stiff. Will have to do the mod you suggested. I noticed they have a few knives in D2 as well for only a few bucks more. Those might worth checking out, although I'm not a snob against 440c as most manufacturers these days have figured out how to heat treat it properly.

Got a Kershaw Launch for Christmas - I'm really liking that knife. It's more slim than other auto knives I've carried. We will see how the CPM154 blade holds up.

Boker black Kalishnakof Automat 74. My first auto knife after they became legal in Texas. I like these knives a ton. Very durable.

I only have two “show knives” and both are Anza. But I rarely carry them. But these Boker knives are EDC knives, and they are used hard. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how durable they are.

Have them in black, FDE, and green.
