    Bending over - spreading - I love 6.5 Creedmoor. .308 is a waste of powder. Not any better in energy transmitted, falls off the face of the earth at 800 yards. Y'all need a 7.5 Swiss to be manly.
    Damn Robert. Not helping dodge the “6.5 CM is gay” comments with that post.

    What are y’all’s thoughts on the most over rated cartridge? Mine is the 7mm Rem mag…not a whole lot of gain over the 270/280/3006, while using more powder and producing more recoil.

    If your asking, if I think the 7mm Rem Magnum is over rated, Then Yes

    My 270 will do most everything a 7RM can, using just 10 grains less bullet weight!
    I have killed some pretty big bodied Whitetails with it - all were found;
    Some DRT, Some ran and sometimes had meat damage in the off-shoulder.
    I don't think a 7RM could have produced any better results.
    Plus, I seem to remember that shortly after Remington introduced the 7RM in early 1960s,
    They had some pressure issues and download it some.
    Figure some our real cartridge experts here can elaborate on that.

    If your asking, if I think the 7mm Rem Magnum is he most over rated cartridge, Then No Probably Not

    I'll have to think on that one some more, But liked that previous answer = 30-M1 carbine.
    I killed 1 deer with it - Deer ran a loooong way.
    And I'll not hunt deer with it ever again.
