I definitely got a good one. I have a Tac-13 that shoots great too. Never an issue. I saw the Remmy fast slide up close. And the .270 was based off the 30-03.

There’s like 1 guy spreading this claim and a few people gobbling it up. But the 30-03 is and was long dead, replaced by the 30-06. Nobody dug up the dead 30-03 to create the wimpier .270 Winchester. There’s a reason the parent case is 30-06 and not 30-03.

The 30-06 was derived from the 30-03. Logically, the .270 was derived from the 30-03.

Nobody picked up a 30-03 and said “let’s trim this case and neck it down a little. We’ll call it .270”.

No, they said “hey, let’s take this 30-06 cartridge and neck it down for the weaklings. They can feel like real men talking about how it’s really just like a 30-06 while standing in line to pay for their tampons”

Rohm, aka RG, aka Rotten Guns. They are absolute junk in my opinion.

Remington rates high for reliability with me but the newest Remington long arm I own, a 12 gauge 870 Express Combo was made in the late 1980s. Only Remingtopn I own that is newer is an R1 1911 and it is also very reliable.

Yes - actually - they did. Too, all objective data with similar bullet weights show the .270 is superior to the 30-06.

    etc., etc., etc.

But that wasn't your original deal. I good naturedly joshed your .243 accuracy comparison. Then you jumped in with personal attacks. @Dawico piled on quickly. You fellas are trolling and I'm embarrassed for you. @Dawico - you and I have met and shook hands. Don't you guys care that this is a community?

If I've been a dick to you that's one thing, but I've slighted neither of you. I would have hoped you'd be better ambassadors of this community. When I f-up, I'm not surprised to be called out on it. I don't like it, but frankly, expect it. But I did not f-up here. Jump on as you will with me being butt-hurt etc. - but I'd much rather be known as the guy that tries to have fun, learn and teach (rarely) a bit, and advances our cause vs the guy that that throws shit on wall, knows everything, and finds it fun to internet insult others.

Anyway - my 1994 Sendero in .270 Win will out-shoot any stock 30-06 out there. Prove me wrong at a range day.

You can play 6 degrees all you want, .30-01 thick rim is .270's real parent case.

Funnily enough, Jack O'Connor was probably the biggest fan of .270 but still considered .30-06 to be the more practical cartridge.

Yep - O'Connor loved that .270. And I think the 30-06 is a better all around North America round, especially if you're up in Grizzly country. The 30-01 is all new to me and I'll take your word on that, Amigo. I do want to know why its called "thick rim" though.

    It had a thick rim.

I already said there’s one guy making the 30.03 claim and it’s being spread form that one source. Doesn’t make it fact.

But that wasn't your original deal. I good naturedly joshed your .243 accuracy comparison.

    You personally attacked me.

Then you jumped in with personal attacks.

    I just joshed you.

    I don’t and wouldn’t own a 30-06. I only shoot it’s superior parent cartridge, the 30-03.

The nice thing about being a community based on generally conservative values is we can disgree and give each other hell without it being personal.

As far as your Sendero, 5 shots at 100 yards, what's it doing? Of the 20 or so Savages I've owned, everything from basic hunting rifles to target models, all would put 5 shots in 1/2" at 100 yards with the right ammo. Not saying they can't put out a dud but I've not had one.

The trolling as of late (on multiple threads) has been stellar and I'm here for it. Ya'll crass misled degenerates keep up the good work. Also, anyone decrying the God tier 30-06 can pass GO and go straight to hell, you godless commie bastards.

30-06 sucks. Almost as bad as .270 Winchester.
