I've always used canned air for my computers and guns. However, I'm going through a crapload. Anyone here use an air compressor for gun cleaning? I've never considered using an air compressor on my computer or guns due to water concerns.
Sounds good, I'll google more info. I'd be more than happy to take canned air off my shopping list.
Thanks Lone, I have a Harbor Freight in my neighborhood (Jersey Village).
I have used a standard roll-around air compressor (no special filters) at the range for general cleaning. Everything was field-stripped at the time, and it was a relatively arid environment. Everything got wiped and oiled prior to reassembly.
No adverse effects noted.
Like I said I buy the cheap tools for work, but I still buy more expensive tools for my personal use at home..... the cheap tools at work seem to just stay in my tool box, seems that no one wants the tools that say made in Taiwan, China, etc.
This statement would be funnier if it were not so true.....
Wonder if they'd take yours tool if they saw you unpacking them from the front underware compartment ... Did anyone see Step Brothers??
BTW, I keep forgetting to stop by Harbor. I only pass it twice a day
a compressor is the way to go just be carefull when you get it around a scope keep it at a good distance from the scope but it will get the lint out of the ends of them when cleaning your basic dirty gun soak it with hoppes#9 let it sit a few minutes and blow the gunk out of it saves a lot of smearing it around and really allows you to get in the tight spots and trigger groups
