Saw this at walmart today. I didn't know DPMS was made by Remington? Is this a good deal. Thinking of picking it up with in the next couple days. Just looking for feed back here

    Thanks

I have a few dpms ar's, they're not the best but they're not the worst either. I've never had a malfunction that wasn't magazine related but switching to pmags solved that problem. $588 is a good price in my opinion.

I was surprised to see AAC is owned by them, I thought they were a independent company. I've heard mixed reviews about freedom group, but I have yet to experience anything negative.

I've got a DPMS and it runs fine. No issues with it. Of course its not in league with my original Colt AR-15 HBAR Match, but is perfectly fine.

It would be nice if any of the Walmarts down here started carrying rifles or gun products again. They hardly even keep the ammo counter stocked.

The gun store I buy from in College Station has them for about the same price and I had considered picking up one of those or a Palmetto State Armory M4. I wish I knew more about AR's...there are so many options.

Yeah. They're a little more expensive than that Walmart price but I believe the same gun is about $620 from them. They have the PSA M4 for a little less than $700. I don't know a ton about AR's but have heard enough good about PSA to consider one.

I would get a psa over the wal mart dpms. If you read the specs on palmettos website, they are identical to bcm. I know it is not as quality as bcm, but for under $700 i believe it would be a fun range toy.

It is awesome that you can walk into wal mart, and buy a freakin LE6920 . Hopefully soon we will be able to walk in and buy a lightweight commander from there at a competitive price.

Not sure is the story is true or not but many years ago I used to ask why Wal-Mart didn't sell handguns. I always heard that Mrs. Walton didn't like handguns and she wouldn't allow them to be sold in thier stores.

Wrong. There were cases of Walmart-sold guns were used in crimes. Sheryl Crow blasted them in song, and they caved. Sold off their guns cheap. I got a S&W 422 pistol for $140 (40% off).
