There is no registration, no one is going to force you to register squat.... if you are that worried about it there is a forum on here named "Guns for Sale".... list it there and your worries are over.

Hey all, thanks for the dialog. I've got to go for a while...I'll be back.

I really think the current administration will go as low as they can.

HA, not the 'necks ;) out here! I've been arguing with them since I moved here that there's no TX registration. "But I filled out all that paperwork at the counter". Mind you these are NOT kids nor new gun owners I'm talking about.

It's always surprising to me when I meet long-time gun owners that still think there is registration. Hell, I sold a Glock to a guy with a CHL a few weeks ago, and he asked me, "So, it's ok to transfer this one to my name?"

He should just donate it to me for free, because I do not require a bill of sale. ;)

It also is against state law and thus is usually prosecuted at that level and not federally.
So then Obama might likewise be able to make states create their own gun registration and bans also, which can then be prosecuted at the state level.

I'm just trying to get a handle on what can happen.

    Thanks.

R-gray - Write your State and Federal Senators and Representatives. Simply tell them if they vote for any further regulation on firearms that they have lost your vote. Join the NRA (For $25 they'll give you a Bass Pro Shop Gift Card for the same amount) Join the TSRA. That's what you can do now.

If the heavens were to fall and all hell broke loose then worry about that then. I wouldn't worry though, it wouldn't happen overnight and you would have all your questions answered before it did.

This all relates. If I have to register my gun and they eventually use that info to confiscate it, that violates the 2nd amendment.

That helps. But perhaps the feds will make the states have their own gun bans.

Also, the manufacture of crystal meth violates federal law, right? And don't the local and state police bust you if they catch you doing this?
They enforce the STATE law against it. Not the federal law.

It seems like they're going to ban the sale of a lot of semiautomatic rifles, greater-than-10 round mags, and require registration for any of these that exist. So you're saying the states won't enforce this in any way? Any way at all? If you were caught with an unregistered AR-15, they could just hand the case over to the feds, right?

Yep. They won't outright drop the 2nd amendment. They chip away at it, "interpret" it, limit it, more and more.

Obama has already appointed two libs to the supreme court...Kagin and Sotomayor. Any more and we'll get brand new "interpretations" of the Constitution.

    It's part of their agenda.
