the Russians and Cubans haven't parachuted into the central United States.
They didn't have to parachute in; "we" voted the Marxists in.

The FFL from whom you purchased your weapon has the 4473 documentation. I think they are required to keep it for 20 years -- at least that is what I think I recall someone at Bullet Trap stating. You may sell your weapon at any time without producing a bill of sale or any other record of the transaction. A concealed handgun license does not prove you have any weapon. Early on, I knew many people who got a CHL just to show support and did not own any weapon at the time.

Good info. Thank you very much.

I wonder if someday they'll be required to send the 4473 information to the FBI or some national database. Call me paranoid, I really believe the current adminstration wants to ban guns entirely, a bit at a time.

a lot of the libtard stuff is checked at the border.
Fortunately, I was raised in a conservative family and I've never voted for a democrat for president. There aren't many conservatives up there. And the women are "strong" let me tell you. Strong women who like men to be weak. It's a cesspool.

Yes, the CHL doesn't mean I have a particular gun. Actually, they rented handguns to qualify at that class.

But did the store tell anyone that they sold this particular gun to me?

No. Form 4473 remains with the retailer. The NICS check records are destroyed at the fed end, required by federal law.

Nobody but you knows what you have.

Outwardly they say they do. Inwardly, it's a different story.

There's a reason why those "strong" women who marry weak men have such bad marriages. They wind up hating the man for being such a wuss, and the man winds up emotionally abused. Never pretty.

They know everything! Don't you watch CSI?
They know you had Taco Bell at the foodcourt thirty minutes before walking into Academy because you bought that dang chimichanga with your credit card.
They have video footage of you wearing your favorite faded black Female Body Inspector t-shirt. You know, the one with the hole in the back left shoulder you've been ignoring since it appeared last March.
They know you were picking your nose while the clerk had his back to you because of the microscopic booger fragments their spectrometer picked up off your 4473.
And they know you went straight home and watched porn afterwards. (Dude, you typed "midget candy stripers" into google search for chrissakes!)

    Believe me... they KNOW!

It seems like they're going to ban the sale of a lot of semiautomatic rifles, greater-than-10 round mags, and require registration for any of these that exist. So you're saying the states won't enforce this in any way? Any way at all? If you were caught with an unregistered AR-15, they could just hand the case over to the feds, right?

    No.

I bought a handgun over a year ago at an Academy sporting store here in Plano, TX. They did the background check right there over the phone. So now, who knows that I have this particular handgun?
I didn't know of any registration going on, but I've been repeatedly told by friends..."they know...they know".

I also went and got a CHL license. But that didn't involve any info about my particular gun.

    Who knows what?

In Texas, an FFL transfer with a NICS background check is not a legal requirement for private gun sales. Believe me, I've bought AND sold quite a few guns in the last few years. And would sell them all before I ever registered them or surrendered them to ANYONE. Aside from that, if one of your gun suddenly "goes missing", they can't confiscate it either. All they can do is report it stolen. Long story short, I am not the least bit concerned with federal gun laws, as they are unconstitutional to begin with, and that pretty much means they are null and void. Our guns are the only things that truly guarantee us our safety and security in this world, and anyone trying to take that away from you, wants you and your family to be less safe. To make matters worse the same people who would move to do such a thing, have repeatedly armed terrorists and drug traffickers with the same guns they don't think we should have, incidentally the same guns that the people that keep them protected every day, also have.
