Agreed. But having a rope in the scenario makes me think the victim/attacker role is clear.

Either way kick the hell out of both guys and let the cops sort it out.

Interesting. I haven't been exposed to such, so, I have no idea.
I can guess and hope, but it wouldn't be worth your time to read.

Hopefully intervene, but yeah there's a reason they didn't do it Texas. I'm just thinking some "actor" would've gotten their ass handed to them.

The rope makes it clear that the person choking the other is trying to commit murder, even if it started out as a self defense situation, then if a person had time to pull out a rope (from somewhere) and get behind the other person, they had time to do something else. At that point my gun would come out and be fixed on the person doing the choking.

Now if no rope was involved and it was just one guy choking another then that a little different, not easy o assume who is the instigator and who is on defense. Thats when its best to leave the gun holstered and try to pull them apart (if u feel comfortable doing so when u know u have a gun one u) or call the cops and let them sort it out.

At least thats how I see it, although u never know how you'll react in a situation like that until it actually happens to u.

Now here's the real question what would THEY have done if someone had drawn down on them. Then their stupid little game wouldn't have been so funny.

    That's a dangerous experiment.

I think most here would intervene to some extent.

I'm surprised someone didn't kick the aggressor in the face.

The rope tells me who the aggressor is in this one.

I hope I never end up on one of these hidden camera things, because I'd have probably hospitalized someone...

The main challenge I see with this scenario is the short window of the elevator door shutting. If you were to get into the elevator to intervene, and the door shut on you, you are trapped in an elevator with an unknown situation.
