I figured as much. Especially when he failed to answer my question about his affiliation.

His statement plus failure to disclose affiliation = zero cred.

My guess is that he may possibly be the actual employee RH was dealing with.

EDIT: He's got a decent résumé but still I award him no internets.

Note: its not my article. I wasnt the one with the problem.

Well then....let's try me. I think everyone knows I don't work for 'em, although the owner and I are friends....the same owner that spends a LOT of time and money promoting shooting sports in South Texas.

Mr. Butthead is so unorganized that he doesn't arrive as a group. He rents a bay for a specific amount of time, and rather than check in as a group, he lets folks wander in....

"No" folks in line when he goes back to get more time? Well, I don't make it out to the bullethole very often since they're so far away, but I've NEVER seen an empty office in there for more than 5-10 minutes - they ARE usually VERY busy. And heaven forbid the guy had to WAIT HIS TURN behind some schlub that was there before he was, and maybe there was only one guy because the other didn't show up that day. As to doing one thing at a time, I don't expect someone doing a sale to leave a gun in another customers' hands to wait on me - good way to lose a gun.

Way too much "I'm important" in that whining article....gimme a link to it, I'd LOVE to have my say back to the author! And for the record - the Bulleehole has been owned by the same folks since the day it opened.

I've been their only once and i had neutral feelings about how it was run. only a couple of people were at the ranges on a weekday i went. Their was no range master and only one employee at the front.

I'd say that without the input of the actual offended party this really can't be treated as anything else but here say or possibly a slander attempt. Not by RH of course because I believe he was just passing on information.

The Bullethole already sucks. It always has. There are much better options, even if it requires an extra 10-20 minutes' worth of driving. It is the one range in San Antonio I will not set foot on. They lost my business years ago for safety violations and I won't give my hard-earned money to a business that doesn't care about its customers, especially a gun-related business.

Might also remind folks - this is the place that let us host a benefit for one of our members. It was a cold, miserable morning with misting rain. The owner came by and opened up their training classroom for us to use to get out of the weather and eat in......a very nice gesture, I thought.

Like them or not Bullet hole is a strong second amendment supporter. Here we are as a gun forum slandering a gun business, IMHO that just is not right.

You have to pay hourly there? And only one guy workin the check-in? Damn.

    Sent from my toolbox

No, you can rent a private bay for two hours. 50-300 yards is $9.50 for as much time as you need for as many rifles as you want.

One guy working the check in is rare. Sometimes life happens, people are late. I was there one time and a guy was late because his car got broken into. Can't fault him for that.

We as a shooting community have to stop slinging mud on each other.

I am in no way affiliated with the range, I just like it and hate seeing a Second Amendment supporting business lose money cause some kid who has a blog and had a bad day.

I thought the mud comments were laughable. If you've been and know it, get yourself some galoshes.

But not allowing the time to be extended when no one else was ready to shoot is just bad business.

The owner has probably seen this thread, but if he hasn't, he should. Every owner wants to know when there are issues to address.

However, in this instance I somewhat doubt the veracity of the claims. Way too much "*I*" in the original comments.

As someone without a dog in this hunt, the real issues are obvious. Need more than one at the counter at your busiest times, and rule or no rule, if someone wants to give you money, you don't say no if there is no one else to fill that lane.

The rest is kind of sour grapes.

Wasn't there a thread on here about a month or so ago attacking the same range that was found to have been started by some bat shit crazy, illegal daycare owner whose husband was currently facing felony charges for an offense he committed there?
