Some A-holes broke into my apartment this weekend. Stole at least 2 firearms. A Ruger LCP and a Mossberg 500 12ga pump. Tv, ps3, Xbox, games, DVDs ... Not sure what else yet.

Damn, hope its found, and as Charlie stated do you have the serial numbers stated? Try contacting Microsoft and Sony to see if you can ban or see if the serial number the consoles has might get online.

That sucks!!! In 97 my apartment was broken into while I was on my honeymoon trip. My golf clubs, play station (sucked big time because I was killing on Tomb Raider at the time) and some other junk were stolen.

Turned out it was my fucking neighbor. He'd pawned everything with his own ID.

This is why I live where I do now. And why I buy every bit of acreage that touches my land as soon as it comes up for sale.

    I dislike neighbors.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you get the stuff back. There must be something in the air...My Nephew's apartment complex had 6 robberies Saturday, including the apartment on the ground floor below his 3rd floor apartment. He's lucky the scumbags are too lazy to walk up those stairs. He, his girlfriend, and 3 kids were in California at the time.

Can't agree more with everyone else, that sucks! I have some crack heads that live across the street from me. I make sure and never unload my guns when they are in view. Time to take picks of my serial numbers!

Sorry to hear that...but look around - did they really toss the place, or was it like someone knew where everything was? Could be a neighbor....or a "friend".

I had the serial for the Mossberg on hand and gave it to the officer when he was here. As for the LCP, my dad had it written down, and now he's trying to find it. Don't have serials on any of the electronics. They took the games with it also. Took my laptop too. I used to have the service tag on it, but seems Dell can't remember it anymore ... hopefully the box it came in is still at my dad's house ... and hopefully the service tag number is on it. Lots of movies on there that I can't recover anymore since the ex wife took the physical copies of them.

They came in through the glass door off the patio ... 2nd floor, so they knew what was in here. I've got my suspicions of who, and I let the officer know. It was either the maintenance man, because he saw the Mossberg before and made a comment on it when he was in here working on the apartment a month ago, or the downstairs neighbor saw me carrying out some gun cases Thursday when I left. They tried to kick the front door in but failed.

Looks like dad found the serial for the TV just now ... still looking for others.

Not going to say anything about whoever did this, but I'm sure you all know exactly what we all would want to do to them ...

No friend nor neighbor have been in the apartment before. The bed is tossed, drawers pulled out of the dresser. Pried open my file cabinet ... which was unlocked ... The shotgun was in plain sight, but the LCP was tucked under the edge of the mattress. Closet was gone through as was the dresser that's in there.

No luck there. Never played online. I was hoping that since I had to register with Sony to get their updates, that they'd have it, but I don't see it anywhere.

It was a Halo Edition (green with "Halo" artwork/markings) xbox. Definitely easier to notice than the typical white one.

I do know of at least 3 apartment complexes in Baytown that fired their maintenance crews because they found out they were hitting apartments when the renters would leave for work.

They had to of known what was in here to some extent for them to try to break in the front door (used to latch obnoxiously tight and now it's loose as hell) and then climb up to the patio on the 2nd floor to break into the sliding glass door.

I can't say for sure who did it, just those are my first suspects ... or someone they told about it. Right now, I'm leaning towards the downstairs neighbor. They saw me walking out with guns on Thursday. They knew which truck I drive and didn't see it back for all weekend. Not even sure it's the ones that live there, but at least one that has been there often.

Good news though ... found the box that the LCP came in, so now I've got the serial number for that. HOPEFULLY they tried to pawn them all at once ...

I'd take a big tall tree and a short piece of rope
I'd hang 'em up high and let 'em swing 'til the sun goes down

Sounds good ... Just not going to say it for myself. If the off chance I catch them personally, I don't want it to look like it was premeditated ...
