Visited the newly opened gun shop on Seabrook on 146 today, Across the street from the big strip shopping center. They are in the same building, and are the same folks, that run Men In Black pest control.

Not much there yet, but has promise. They got some ammo and overpriced AR magazines right now. Guns next week.

Will be carrying 'Battle Arms' brand of ARs, made right here in Seabrook.

Will sell safes, forgot the brand.

They also plan on conducting Virginia out of state CHL classes as they can offer the education requirement by 1 hour video from their website, and the other parts in house.

Not set on transfer costs, but they started high with me and came down when I let them know what the pawn shop down the street charges and going rate for the area.

Plan on carrying a line of suppressors out of WA state (not Gemtech) later on this year.

Small shop, but I like the idea of competition to Marburgers in the area.

    Seem like real nice folks.

    We will see.................

I hope they will be doing consignments for a fair fee, I have a few safe queens they could put on the shelf. Having a paper trail away from me feels safer then selling to strangers and not knowing where a gun might end up.

thanks for the heads up. right in my backyard. what were they charging for the ammo and what types??

Did not ask the price. They were close to $35 for standard military issue AR magazines, so I did not bother wanting to know. If I remember they had 9mm, .357, .38 and some .40.

You could always list them here.

is that sporting goods shop still there that sells guns ?.
southbound hwy 3 on left before 518 iirc.

Don't know about that one. Marburgers is still in Seabrook near the corner of 146 and NASA Rd 1. They have been at that location for years, used to be the only non-pawn, non WalMart gun selling store in the area.

I have not stopped by to see if they have guns yet this week, may be a while before I go back in, just not in need of anything they will have and don't need a transfer right now down there.

Hello all! new here please be gentle. While not around the gun scene for very long I've been watching all the websites and researching the price market for an AR right now; and sadly these guys were way off.

Primary stock AR is the "Battle" brand. I saw little or nothing to make me excited in the store. In the corner a Bushmaster Carbon 15 poly model selling for $1500, M&P Sport i think was around $1700 if not more. Their Battle brand right around there in price ~$1500 for a mid length AR .223/5.56 and $2200 for a .308.

If that wasn't enough to make me quit listening, the sign says ammo in stock .223 ammo is close to .90 or so per round! (sorry Im blanking on the brand). I asked if he had 5.56 and was told thrre was no demand for it "only in bulk."

They are doing the reciprocity Virginia CHL permits, for now, online I think.

Their is literally one wall for display. They just can't make it in a market with Academy selling the same gear for $7-800. Again I hope I was fair, I'm just trying to save y'all a trip. If you see a lot of "I think" or "around" in my post its just because I was turned off by the prices; the market is just too competitive right now. To top it off its run by the pesticide company next door (when I say next door, it's in the same room in the double wide.)

I'm sorry, I wanted it to be good. First post mission complete!

Anytime I hear about a store selling M&P rifles for over $1,000 I am turned off. Quantico tactical has been selling them steady for $900 or less through all this bs. So when I hear about a store selling them for $1,400 and telling me I'm getting a deal or that's market value.....kiss my ass! That sucker better come with a badass sight at a minimum.

LOL, lots of good bars ! I stopped in also, the ammo was $30+ for handgun, the lady said they would do transfers, $10 if you have a CHL, $25 non-chl.

Yes, going to have a first hand report on that hopefully next week. The owner told me since it's not big deal to do two guns at the same time, he will only charge me for one even though I may have two arriving together.

But you don't have as many bars as San Leon. And DEFINITELY not as many meth labs

What do they say about San Leon?? If I remember correctly, 'It's a small drinking community with a huge fishing problem.'

(Speaking of which, I could really go for some Oysters Gilhooley right now.)

FYI, San Leon is also where Donald Eugene Chambers founded the Bandidos Motorcycle Club.
That which may or may not have anything to do with the meth labs, LOL.

Yeah, I used to live within walking distance of Gilhooley's. That was until Ike came along and rearranged the furniture. Love their food, but you don't want to go inside unless you're a chain smoker, cause you will be by the time you make it back out the door. And yes, the Bandidos still hang there sometimes, but in the summer it's mostly the wannabes.

Yeah, I used to live within walking distance of Gilhooley's.

So you ever get by the Railean Distillery in San Leon, TX? We took the tour and sometimes buy their rum and tequila like product from Specs. If we have guests from out of town, usually end up at Top Water. I liked it better before Ike, now it's a lot more clean and refined. We are also known to visit Noah's Ark where we eat their mediocre food and drink cheap on occasion.

Here are some of the latest updates to our little gun shop Locked and Loaded Arms in Seabrook. We opened 5 weeks ago with just a few items and we will continue to add within the limits of our store. We are the owners of Men In Black Pest Control and are co-located at 2113 Bayport Blvd in Seabrook. We currently have the Battle Rifle made in Seabrook and a few other long guns. The prices listed here are wrong and change with the market like any other business. Some things might be higher some things might be lower. We are in no way attempted to compete with a multi billion dollar a year company like Academy. We are a local store doing the best we can to do right by our customers.

We have ammunition in stock most of the time without a box limit like Academy. Just a few of our current prices: 22lr is $8 for 50 count, 32 is $27.50 for 50 count, 380 is $27.50 for 50 count, 38 special is $25 for 50 count, 357 is $25 for 50 count, 9mm is $27.50 for 50 count, 40 cal is $27.50 for 50 count, 45 acp is $32.50 for 50 count, 223 is $16 for 20 count and 7.62 is $16 for 20 count. Prices and availability are subject to change.

We offer the Virginia non-resident CHL course so you can get your CHL in 1 hour and be able to legally carry in Texas.

We will be carrying American Security Gun Safes this week or next.

We have a gunsmith on-site and do gun cleaning.

    We offer custom gun painting.

We do transfers for $25 for non-chl holders and $10 for Texas CHL holders.
