I won't grace Tactical with my magnificence - reason is politics of the owner.
I shoot at Top gun, Athena and ASC on the west side; Hotwells and Shiloh on the North side, and Bailey's on the South side. Choice is generally dependent on who I'm shooting with.
Another west side range I'm looking to add to my collection is MSC.
I'm up for a meet/greet/eat/shoot anywhere but Tactical. I do wave as I drive past - haven't ever been inside and won't until ownership changes.

How does morning of 6/29 at ASC sound? I could also do Hotwells if that is what works for others. I have always used iron sights and now that I am getting old and blind I have put scopes on my 10/22 and 30-30 and need to focus or zero them in or whatever we do do to scopes...I refuse to put a scope or red dot on my ar though 'cause I am just stubborn that way...
If anyone is planning on getting out tomorrow, will be up at ASC for my annual fathers day shoot out at around 8:30AM. Should be plenty of fun to be had with rifles and pistols. Bringing my new SSCY CPX-2 and a few other things like my mosin I just finished refinishing and silenced 22.
I am going to be there around 8:30 tomorrow. Gonna shoot new trigger in 10/22 at the 50 yard.
Can I shoot the M16 there if I only set it on semi ? I need to get the red dot sighted in.
Was thinking of going to PSC to shoot my other guns but I'd drive to ASC instead to take care of that if they let me.
PSC would kick me out of the club if I even bring it onto their property.

Well you should stop by the pistol range and 50 yard range to say hi to me and Sugar Land... I'll be in my tgt shirt most likely.
Clarke, you coming? I know you usually chicken out when it comes to ASC because you can't hit paper on the pistol range at 5 yards and they don't like your kind up there, but c'mon.

I will be wearing a TGT shirt as well. grumper I don't think semi auto will be a problem. Look forward so seeing you guys.
I got rained out last weekend at ASC. It was perfect today. The left target was the AR-15 with a 1 X red dot. The right side was with the .300 Win Mag. Both were at 100 yards. After taking two shots and two adjustments the Win Mag was right on with the next four shots and I called it a day on sighting in that one. Then moved on to sighting in the AR. At 100 yards the red dot becomes as big as the diamond on the target. Still that group is definitely within the envelope of a person. To do better I'd need a real scope. Honestly 100 yards is just no challenge for the winmag. 1000 yards would be more in it's league.
