Passport Photos 10
Fingerprints 10
TOTAL = Between 235 - 260 (not including ammo and range fee if the venue doesn't include the range fee with the cost of the class)
Seems the wait period is a little over 2 months, perhaps even 3 months right now, before you get your license in hand after sending off your completed documents
Apply at: https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/
· At the end of the application, print out your checklist form with the barcode on it
Schedule your CHL Class and fingerprints (make sure the CHL Class comes first)
· Fingerprints website for online registration: IdentoGO Home
At the end of the CHL Class, the instructor will give you:
· a form of completion called a CHL-100
· a CHL-6 Form, which is the form you have for photos (maybe, if you don’t receive this form from the instructor, you can print it out here: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/InternetForms/Forms/CHL-6.pdf
Go to Wal-Mart (or somewhere else) and get 2 passport photos taken.
Once you have your application done and paid for with your Checklist form, your CHL class complete, your CHL 100 form, your CHL 6 Form and your fingerprints done you can mail your documents to Texas Department of Public Safety (Address will be on your Checklist Form) or you can submit the forms online at: https://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/contact/default.aspx
When mailing, take both your passport photos, and place them in a separate small envelope and write your first and last name on the envelope. Then take all other forms AND the envelope with the photos in it, and place all of that into a document envelope. Make copies of each document before mailing, just in case the post office or DPS office loses your packet.

If you're too lazy to read the replies to YOUR questions or go to DPS's website and read just a little bit more, you're likely too lazy to train also.
Maybe you should consider NOT getting a CHL.
You meant "Thank you for your quick and detailed response!", right?
The way you wrote it all out made it read weird to me.
You mean post 2? Yea, that was weird for me too. I still don't believe I wrote it, almost like an outer body experience or something. GlockOwners are weird that way.
