Not sure if this is a Walmart thing or what, the clerk at the register breathed through his mouth a lot and I suspect probably looked at the sun too long at one point, but he said both me and my wife needed to provide ID to buy beer today.
Never had this happen before, I asked him does this mean if I'm shopping with my kids with me and I can't buy beer since they're under 21 and he said yes.
If I hadn't been waiting in line 30 minutes to check out I would have inquired further, but I think this guy is completely full of crap. Texas law does not state one has to provide ID, it's usually up to the establishment what they will do, but as me and my wife are both in our mid 40's I think it was more likely that this mouth-breathing kid has a thing against people who drink booze.
Anyone else have a similar experience?
