Goodbye Palmer
We transited the ice field successfully and the Palmer left us to continue its operations. We saw more ice (surprise surprise) during our trip and more wildlife. Penguins, seals and birds.Now we are on site and have begun drilling. Usually things can get a bit mundane during drilling operations. Add to the fact that there is pretty much no ice currently around us I don't know how much more there is to show. What I will probably do is post some pictures here and there of the ship and what we do but for now here are some more pics of the trip down here.

Ok that one chunk of ice with the arm sticking up looked like Spongebob Squarepants.
Thanks for posting the pics. I’ve frozen my gonads off for Uncle Sam, so it’s nice to live vicariously, yet warm, except today; through you. :-D
