I’m pretty fricking terrible becuase I went and shot a USPSA match without my better half and I’m going to a shooting class this Saturday on my own and then again to a ladies social shooting event by myself on Tuesday the 13th.

I may even go solo to a four day ladies shooting conference without the old ball and chain in April.

Way back when, God told Boudreaux that he was going to make a companion and that it would be woman named Clotille. Boudreaux and Thibodeaux were talking yesterday. Thibodeaux had been out for a few days with the flu. Boudreaux asked him how he was feeling. "Aw I'm alot better, tanks. You know, it was a wonderful experience." he replied. Boudreaux asked "Wonderful? How can de flu be wonderful?" "Well, I learned that my Clotile really loves me. You know dat whenever the mailman came by or de milkman headed toward the door, Clotile ran out to meet dem an' I could hear her all excited, yelling at dem 'My husband is home! My husband is home!"

I've thought about "making" the wife go to that. How do you enjoy it? She is a total rookie (as am I) when it comes to shooting. Is it a comfortable atmosphere or ya'll Wile E. Coyote when together? lol

I urge you to "pony-up" for a private introduction to firearms for the beginning. Any local Gun Shop can recommend a patient instructor, experienced in soft introductions. And, begin with a .22, even if you have to buy one. Once "basics" are down, classes are much less expensive. leVieux

The above is one of the best way to get familiar with shooting, in my opinion! If one has friends that are experienced shooters, it might be more comfortable to shoot with them.

I have spent my life teaching all sorts of things. I have found that women learners usually respond better to a teacher that they did not know before, than to a friend trying to teach. leVieux

When it comes to firearms, IME women learners respond better...period.
