    Just as safe as a revolver. FWIW

    Actually, carrying a revolver is safer. The trigger pull, not cocked, is heavier than any semi-auto. Without a clean video, kinda hard to see, but looks like the pistol was only half holstered, letting the top of his pants get inside the holster and trigger.

    Since I mostly appendix carry with a no-safety (frequently called trigger safety - 'cause it's lawyer induced bullshit) pistol, this video made the voting member of my body, suggest to the head of state, to check the holster before inserting the tool he carries.

    Eh, I stick with OWB holsters for 99% of the guns I carry for this very reason. The only gun I will ever carry IWB would have to be DA/SA or have a safety of some sort.

    Did anyone watch the video besides me? he had a firearm out in public... he chambered the round and did not secure the firearm in the holster.. yeah the idiot shot himself. I hope he hit his nuts so he doesn't procreate.

    Usually. OTOH, I've got a butter-smooth PPC revolver and I've shot Tejano Scotts Walther PP-something. That's an edge case, to be sure, but some autoloaders have much heavier triggers than some revolvers.
