I grew up knowing one riot, one ranger. Some folks I know in south Texas grew up with it the other way around.

I know the history more decent than most and don’t want to derail into conduct none of us can change through arguing.

Just interested in what you grew up hearing and what area of Texas it was in.

    I’ll settle for North/East/Central/South/West/Panhandle.

I grew up in central Texas.

Yup, Central Texas. Did not get here until I was 15 but that is always what I heard.

    Thanks all.

Turns out the people I know come from a family that was active with UFW back in the day. Apparently, they (the older generation) didn’t appreciate some of the LE response to their actions.

    Oh well; explains a lot.

The one I am still trying to figure out is "All cattle, no hat?!?" :clown:

One Ranger, One Riot! S Tx San Antonio. Rangers to me were near GODS, they ranked up there with John Wayne, Davy Crockett and Roy Rogers. I grew up in the era that the only shows on TV were Westerns.
