Softest recoil, SIG P238 .380 or Walther PPS 9mm?

Is yours maybe an older one and they fixed it in later models? Because on aforementioned guns here, getting the slide stop out it is a freaking operation. Hold it just right, and push with a 5.56 tip so you can grab it.
Sadly, mine is self-removing...no need to push it: Just hold the gun canted left to the horizontal (slide-stop-lever facing downward), slowly rack the slide and it falls out (hence not being able to do an Israeli Draw with this gun as mentioned earlier).
But again, Sig says it's not a defect (Sig STILL needs to address this though, as I SHOULD be able to manipulate the gun in ANY position it's in).
As for being an earlier model, it's not THAT old I would think: Got it locally in December 2016 (from Academy Sports & Outdoors)...their "Nitron" model.

    Condition 1 it is!

Seriously though, I just tried again with the Kimber, slowly or faster, at any angle, the slide stop stays in. Bits fall off my gun would definitely qualify as defect in my book. Try Aaron.Weeden@sigsauer.com, customer service guy who helped me out before.

Hi, my first post here. I have arthritis in my right wrist. I want to start carrying a handgun and must pocket carry. I want to get extremely good so want to practice (300 rounds 2 or 3 times a week). I have narrowed it to two guns which both fit into the front pocket of my pants.

    1. Sig P238 (HD or Spartan all steel frame), small but fairly heavy at 21oz unloaded, shooting 380
    2. Walther PPS Mod 2. Larger gun, about the same weight 23oz, shooting 9mm.

Simple question: Which will be most comfortable (least recoil) for extensive target practice?

    Thanks
    Jim

I own the P238, P938, and the Walter PPS M2. Hands down the easiest to shoot is the P238. It also has a very manageable slide for shooter who have issues with heavy springs.
