You can keep him only if you promise to feed him but not after midnight and never ever get him wet.

No problem on getting me wet...( wrong sex ), but we gotta have a talk about this after midnight eating crap!

Which reminds me, these dadgum rats know their names, but just like that cantankerous, lovable cat I used to have....they only come when THEY want to.

Gonna dole this out a little at a time. In the first grade, a crying Nun rolled a TV into the classroom. Dan Rather delivered the news that JFK was dead.

Shortly thereafter, (pretty sure the same year) they took me out of class and asked me to pray for my dad, who was very ill. I found out later, he wasn't sick. Getting eletrocuted to death under a house you're remodelling doesn't make you sick.

Soooo....I didn't have your average childhood, growing up with a single mom and 3 siblings in a rough side of San Antonio. I wasn't much older when a Bandito threatened to cut my nuts off, and I told him to eff himself. Anyone who questions the validity of God, needs to explain how the hell I got here.

Anyway, with the passing of my hero, and my mom's , I put my childhood on hold, and felt like I needed to step up, and in some ways....was forced to.

That will drive you to humor as a way to cope. Think happy thoughts.

Had a bit of trauma myself. And I did the same thing.

Witnessed a murder at age 8. Witnessed a horrible car accident a year later. Grew up in rough hood and lived across the street from the neighborhood bully, who I fought at least 50 times.

I think that stuff happens to everyone. But when you're young you don't know that.

LOL...I'm just getting started . "You couldn't handle the truth!" Not all at once.

BTW, NO...it doesn't happen to everybody. Maybe why you understand me and a lot don't .

Sooo...next step was pubic...errr...public school from Parochial. My older brother, who helped me to the dark side, had gotten into some huge mess.

The nuns really tried hard to convince her to let me stay.

Then came public school...3rd grade. They wanted to jump me a grade, but my mom wouldn't let them because she didn't think it would be good for me socially, being the younsta an all.

Really, one of the few times mama was wrong, besides taking a Daisy Cub upside my head was another. Crap, momma would beat me with anything within reach.. .ok, but don't beat me with my own damn gun!
