Give rl23 a try if you don't get satisfied with h4350 or run into availability issues. I've killed a couple barrels with it and love it.

I loaded up on H4350 so that isn't an issue. For a while anyways.

Issue I have is I just couldn't get comfortable behind the rifle. Heavy coat didn't help but I think I need a taller chair at those benches.

I shot 20 groups and all were an inch or under. Kind of hard to tell what to chase when 2+ grains of powder difference shows little change and I am not shooting well.

    Which one?
Nothing fancy. A cheap Caldwell for now. I already had to tape it up as the "leather" was grabbing my rifles. I want them to slide freely.

If it works well I may upgrade to something higher end but I am still experimenting.

Bipods and cheap bags always allow the gun to jump and end up way off target. I want to get them to slide straight back and this seems to be working.

My issue now is the butt of the rifle. The Magpul PRS (gen 3) is sloped and the rear of the rifle moves down during recoil. I haven't found an adapter that makes the bottom flat so that will be my next project.

Wish I could tell you I bought something that made you say "oooh" but that might be in the near future when I find this one lacking.

I take it you're looking for something like this that can be adapted to the M-Lok slots on the bottom of the PRS. Maybe it's adaptable to your rig or maybe somebody makes something like it that won't need an adapter. I don't know of anything but I'm sure you're not the first to have the problem.

I'm sure you'll figure it out.

ETA: Better description and pictures here.

Yes, that is similar to what I have in mind.

If I had a 3d printer (and any ability to use it) a part could be made pretty easily. The bottom is fitted with M-Lok slots and that part is easily removable too so it could mount either way.

No worries just giving you a second option. It works very well is cheaper and easier to get at the time being.

Took the Savage Stealth Evolution and an AR out for load testing again.

Calling it good enough for both rifles for the time being. I will probably test them both again once the heat moves in to see if they are still shooting well with these loads.

Threw a temporary scope on the AR for load testing but haven't decided what route to go with for short to medium range varmint hunting.

I just wish the rifle had a longer lead. It's really short. Factory ammo jams into the lands by a tenth or so.

Talked to a guy at the range that has a Savage 10 in 6mm CM also (not sure of the exact model) and he has the same issue.

I usually load 0.02" off the lands but only went 0.01" because of it. I should have tested it anyways as the same load pushed to the lands was a hair bigger.

The ~1/3" groups from today and last test round are the same charge and COL.

I need to go to a range that allows shooting prone so I can try to shrink it more. I think the rifle is capable.
