the river is under TPWD authority and it is legal to discharge a firearm there, as long your bullets do not cross any property line. basically, if you're practicing safe shooting, you will not be shooting past/over the riverbank anyway, so there's nothing to worry about.

as long as the county does not regulate the discharge of firearms, you're good to go. i promise you, it's perfectly legal. you can't do it in harris county; but you can for sure in brazos and montgomery county.

i'd only go out there with a very small group though.

Interesting. What do you think would be a small group, five to ten people? Maybe more?

and we're not UNDER I-45. we're about 1/8mi down the river. the access road is off of I-45 though.

Definitely a push for late in the month, but several folks say no on the 23rd. How do folks feel about shooting on Saturday the 30th? It's Easter weekend, which would make it difficult for me.

In all likelihood I'll probably skip this one. Shot last weekend, out of town this weekend and next, 3 gun in Austin the 16th and then Hicksville April 6th. It's gonna get busy for me for a bit and between 3 gun and hicksville it looks like I'm gonna be in a bad spot for ammo.
