I'm in the market for another upper. I liked the weight of 16" one I had, but I sold it. Back to the drawing board. I was figuring on one of thes Bravo company uppers. I thought I ws just going to get a 16" . . but then my wheels started turing. . . why not the 14.5" with the welded flash suppressor?

While I might take this upper to shoot a deer, I have a "deer" rifle.

What kind of fps amd I loosing, or is there any really problems with getting one that short.

Im learning something here I guess. So long as the 14.5 " barrel has a welded flash suppressor, that makes it a legal rifle if its 16" over all. If the flash suppressor is threaded on , then I guess it would still be considered a hand gun... ?

as long as the OAL of the barrel is 16 inches you are good. If you have a 7.5 inch barrel with a fixed 8.5inch flash hider you are still legal with out a stamp.

I know that it is legal without a stamp, I am just wondering what the lost FPS I get with the lost 1.5."
