    Real men by Sig Sauers anyways.
    Yeah ... you're welcome to see the "real men" that are Sig nut jockeys at work. One of them brings lab goggles to the range and shoots nothing but Remington Golden Sabers because of their "extremely good accuracy". He manages to hit the target at 25 yards in a pattern consistent with an un-choked 7" 12 Gauge shotgun.

    There's one good Sig owner, he's got two P210s, which are the only Sigs worth owning anyways ... because they are like a 1911.

    About to buy another 1911 and was wondering your opinions on this scenario. You have $1500 to spend on any 1911 you can buy with that. Not $1500 plus tax but $1500 total. What do you get and why?

    Kimber CDP or Raptor.........you choose the barrel length.

    IMO its not about the price of the gun. I would go with a colt or a rock island. Me personally i have a Rock Island custom with 3.5" barrel and thats what i carry. Have never had a problem with it and i have put about 1500 rounds through it

    Think about what you just wrote....and how someone NOT knowin' might take that for truth.....

    <gentle nudge>

    A Glock is designed to run dry, and it's designed for a combat environment. They work dirty as hell all damn day. It really is the truth. I have a Glock that has had a quarter of a million rounds ran through it at work that I'd gladly take pictures of to prove it.

    There are a lot of different 1911s you could get for $1500. If you're willing to look at slightly used pistols, you could even get in to a nice semi-custom.

    I bought my Les Baer Thunder Ranch for $1300, slightly used.

    If you want to buy new, the Dan Wesson pistols are getting rave reviews, in that they are made from excellent parts (tool steel instead of MIM) and the fit is what you would expect to see on much more expensive semi-customs.

    Take a look at the Point Man 7,

    or the Valor.

    A used Les Baer is an excellent choice too. They build a hell of a pistol, but their customer service leaves something to be desired from what I've heard. A used gun ensures it works.
