I’m still struggling to get momentum this year. First ride in 2 weeks after I started have back issues. Got out yesterday for a 16 mile ride. First 40 minutes where fine but had to stop 5 times on the way back to stretch out my back.

    200 miles for the year.

I have 427 miles this year so far. Not as much as I'd like, but more than some other years.

Anyone else here ride in the Flower Mound or Denton area?

I’m in Carrollton. Have you road the rails to trails from Lewisville to Denton? I am thinking about trying it from home, I have a route into Lewisville.

I did it from the north end of the lake on a fixed gear a few years ago.

I am TXTad on Strava as well.

I have ridden from Lewisville to Denton one time. Actually, Denton to Lewisville after working my way up into Denton on my usual roads. The problem with the trail is that is it crosses many fairly busy streets and many of the crossings are uncontrolled. It felt much more dangerous than my usual rides towards Argyle and and points NW. It certainly was much slower.

And my second 100 mile week will not happen this week. Been having a slow leak in my rear tire. No problem, pump up tire every couple of days and ride. This morning a couple of minutes after pumping tire I heard a sharp hiss of air escaping. I look and my rear tire finally said “enough of this bullshit, I’m done”

it had delaminated and I finish this week at 89 miles.

Did get a new tire installed, but I am wore out after work so I will start again tomorrow

Jealous of your various ride locals.

Managed about 55 miles since Wednesday. Same old same old routes.

I have a job that has me traveling a lot. I don’t fly, so bike goes with me everywhere :) gives me opportunities to ride in a lot of cool places.
Last year I spent 3 weeks in Niagara Falls

I imagine it was nice riding around the falls especially at night. But it can get cold around there.

Yeah I have been following the thread for a while. Neat stuff.

We, my son and I, used to travel to places for mountain biking here in Texas. He was doing some of the DORBRA and TMBRA racing as a junior in the 2000s. I would pre-ride with him and sometimes race the old fat man’s division.

I'm super jealous of the miles you are putting in. I only have a mtb right now. I need to get a road bike soon.
