That's about 100 more than I did.

That's about 100 more than I did.

I've done countless 300mi weeks on the road, but 140 mostly trail miles is about as high as I have ever done.

The 300mi weeks were at about 20mph

The mtb avg is a lot lower, 10mph isnt bad on trails so the hours of effort are nearly the same.

Rode Lake Georgetown yesterday. Rather technical but fun mtb loop.

On the rare time that I actually MTB, I walk up and down anything. I'm a roadie. I ride bikes because I like to roll, not fall off my bike. :-)

It just takes a little practice and confidence in the bike to get up or down stuff

Well, 1040 miles for the year. About 1/2 the goal.

Both our mothers had health issues this year then lost a month to being sick.

Here’s to a better year next year.

I transferred off bike patrol about two years ago, barely ridden since! Finally got around to swapping the slicks for knobbies and intend to use the bike for its intended purpose, off road! Cheers to a new year!

81 miles was your longest ride, that's some riding. Impressive!

This old guy is still just plugging away at 7 miles a day. Been a little brisk lately.

I rode 1,478 miles in 2023 on a fat tire bicycle. I try to get at least 5 miles a day. When it's too cold or too windy I can go to the YMCA. @oldag when is it not brisk? Most days it's pretty windy around my neighborhood which adds more exercise.

I was ecstatic to get 2,118 miles this year. That was an accomplishment because I got sick (probably covid) in early July and never really regained my normal power and stamina until late September.

Sounds like the Rona. I was the same. Took at least 3 weeks to get my strength back.
