I have pushed them as slow as 2560 fps and as fast as 3200 fps. In my rifle they really like slower velocities so far. The bullet has a short bearing surface and a match bullet frontal profile. Meaning I can't seat the bullet to anywhere near my rifling. Next move may be seating the bullet with it's base even with the shoulder of the 308 case. Still some loads, the slow ones shoot acceptably under MOA. The fast ones 3 inches.
Twist rate is 1-12, in a heavy barreled 308. Really looking for an egg shoot load but I am beginning to think my throat and this bullet might be incompatible to get into the 1/2 MOA arena. Easily done with the 168 gr. Matchking. I have used H322, Blue Dot, WC 852, AA2520 and BLC2 so far.
Sorry, no luck for me. On the other hand, bugholes from 125gr SMKs over IMR 3031 out of a 11.25 twist barrel. If you haven't tried them, you might... Good luck!
Well I evolved. Got the rifle shooting better than half MOA using the Speer 168 gr. BTHP match bullets. Then got very similar results with the Speer 165 gr. BTSP bullets. These seated way out to just miss the rifling. Magazine fed loads that shoot very nicely use the Speer 150 gr. Hotcors. I know but I put the 308 barrel on this action to shoot up the bullets I have in my collection and these are the cheapest bullets I have.
