    Looking for a firing pin for a GLOCK 21 (.45 caliber) -- would be OK if it was worn down. Want to make a gun inoperable while the owner is out of town (long story, don't ask).

    Don't really want to buy a new firing pin only to grind down the tip.

    Just taking the firing pin out makes the trigger go dead. Objective is can’t tell its inoperable without disassembly or test fire.

    Guess I should say our A plan is to put the pistol in a real safe at a different location. This is a plan B thing.

    Numrich has them for 60 bucks, looks rather sophisticated to be grinding up

    I’ve found them for $35, and I’d bet armorer pricing is cheaper. I let my GLOCK armorer certification lapse.
