    I gotta' ask.........................Define "acceptable" groups.

I know you didn't ask me, but for me, I am very picky about my pistols capability to group.

I shoot bullseye, so my expectations may be higher than most.

With 3.8 grains of VV310, a 200 Grain SWC based on the H&G 068 bullet, and I always use S&B Brass plugged with WW Large Pistol Primers, it will shoot a 10 shot group at 25 yards, all in the 10 ring on a slow fire target. This is from a Ransom Rest. I have shot many targets with all 10's on the fast fire and slow fire NRA target during competition, so I know this load isn't a fluke.

You can shoot all day long with no lead fouling and no powder residue left in your 1911. That's why I like the VV Powder.

Why the S&B Brass? Well, as baby bear said, "It's not too hard, and not too soft.....it's just right"! LOL

Think small...yall...on your groups that is.
