#45 hornady shell plate complant

I just got a #45 shell plate for 45 acp and sometimes cases dont go in very easily in fact one slot I cant even put one in. Can I use a file to maybe remove a bur or something thats blocking the opening? Anyone else have problems? I was using Remington 45 acp cases.

Before you go filing or modifying the shell plate, call Hornady and see if they have any suggestions. If they can't fix it, they will replace it since they have a good warranty on their products.
