    I once drove to Louisiana to buy a car, in contact with the seller most all the way there.
    After the test drive, he informed me that he had been offered more money the night before.
    I laughed at first knowing he was trying to get more money out of me, bit my tongue & drove home.
    Of course after that his name was mud on the Forum we were members of & he disappeared.

    I've been burned before (albeit not as badly as stefan) by passing up on offers 2 and 3 to hold out for offer 1, only to have offer 1 fall through, then offers 2 and 3 have already expired...

    stefan, did you talk to the guy on the phone at all? Or was it all in emails/texts/etc.?

    Good on you for sticking to your guns. Shame that you wasted all that time, effort and money! I hope he lost out on a sure deal with you because the "night before" story was pure bullshit.
