A Nice Hog

Got this one a couple of weeks ago up by Houston. Shot once through the shoulder with a .308 Marlin Express; punched through the shoulder and destroyed the heart. Recovered bullet performed superbly.

Hornady FTX 160 grain factory load; 308 Marlin Express. Rifle is a Marlin .308 MX. I'm getting to like it.

Great pics. What Leupold scope is that?

I first had a 2-7X Leupold on it, but the eye relief wasn't good. I switched to a straight 4X Leupold that worked perfectly.

Shot was at 50 yards or so. I had to wait for him to move around for several minutes to get a clear shot at the shoulder.
