for those of you that have a smart phone

would you have interest in an app that would allow you to record your targets, or range activity (i.e. bullet placement) - that might have tips based on where you are hitting the target - adjustments etc

or for instance - you're on the rifle range trying to zero in a rifle - you can record the shot location as you hit the target - with a finger touch

do you think this is something you might use?

features you'd want to see on an app like this?

A mobile version of On Target would rock.

I like your ideas also, it would be cool to have a mobile Mil Dot Master

    It's "Ballistics" on my IPhone.

Recent upgrades let me use a photo of the target and place markers for each shot in order. Also has a page for weather conditions and other variables.

It would be a lot easier to use on something with a larger screen. I also wouldn't mind an app dedicated as a log book.

I wish I could sync it to my lap top also. Maybe with another area if the program to store other reloading data.

    Really, it's 4.5 stars I think.

I haven't really tested how well it calculates the trajectories or wind.

Looking at the screen shots for shooter they seem to be pretty similar.

Is this the one you were looking at?

I don't use most if what the app offers so if there are problems I may not have found them. I mostly just compare different bullets using a reasonable velocity and compare different calibers.

Started using the log feature one it allowed me to use pics of my targets.

    That's the one I use.
It got me a first round hits at 3,4,5 and 600yds.

Used it last Friday to dial between 2 and 300 yds.
It's dead nuts on as long as you put good data in.

Until I get a chrony I can't use most of the app as it was intended. Hopefully soon but I keep putting it off for other things.

It has ballistic coefficients for a butt load of .308 bullets, you have to know your muzzle velocity to get any real accurate data. If you guess at the data you will get a guess at the trajectory.

There is an app for I-Phone compatible devices named "iSNIPE."

Sorry, there is no way to post a screen shot of the application.
