    ALICE--
    An Alice Police officer. who was injured in a bank shooting, has been honored by the state of Texas
    Patrol Officer Daniel Elizondo, along with 19 other law enforcement officers from around the state, received the 2008 state of Texas Law Enforcement Achievement Award for Valor last Thursday.Governor Rick Perry was the keynote speaker at the ceremony.
    This is video of Elizondo receiving a Medal of Valor from the city of Alice back in 2008. It was on April 11th of last year when Elizondo was shot in the upper thigh, while chasing two suspected bank robbers. Elizondo wound up fatally shooting one of them.
