Someone raised the question about these two aftermarket takedown levers for the SIG P320 family. I decided to buy the Align version and compare it to the Gas Pedal that I have had installed for a while. The Gas Pedal is a little older, manufactured by Go Guns, and is sold on the open market or on SIG's parts site. It's larger than the standard lever, made from CNC 1144 steel, and is angled both vertically and horizontally. It sells for $53 on Sig's web site or $52 on Go Guns' web site. The Align Thumb Rest Takedown lever is manufactured by Align Tactical, made of S7 steel, and sells for $55. It is only angled in the vertical direction.
In the first picture you can see the Align lever propped up on a P320 with a standard takedown lever. In the second picture, you can see a side-by-side comparison of the Align (top) and the Gas Pedal (bottom) as installed on 2 pistols. In the third picture, you can see what the Align and Gas Pedal look like as viewed from the rear of the pistols.
The Align is definitely flatter and less likely to catch in a holster. Resting my thumb on each of them, I find that the Gas Pedal is a lot more comfortable because of it's horizontal angle and the surface texture. Both are pretty nice additions to the pistol.
