I got zero mailers from Session, Allred was every other day. And that is just a stupid comment. But gun control peeps are out right liars. This is known, I am not surprised by them at all.

This will make it even harder for veterans God help them if they ever talked to a shrink either in a VA hosp. or while on active duty. We are not the only industrialized nation that had a mass shooting, what about the other ways to wipe out a lot of people France running over people, British bombing people, and the list goes on. You don't need guns to kill a lot of people wasn't it Archie Bunker who once said " Shoot people? Would you rather they throw them out a window."

Suburban voters are becoming a major issue. We are losing the suburbs.

I've invited a Beto guy to go shooting. It's a small step. He didn't scream like a little girl when I mentioned shooting so maybe it will help.

To be honest, there’s several things at play here.

As a native, Texans have been socially and fiscally conservative regardless whatever label is in office.

As far as the state “going blue”, well one office in one election doesn’t tell the whole story.

Abbot won 56-42, and these two pics tell a different story.

Pretty much every state office looks like Abbot’s map.

As for Beto, he demonstrated that you can outspend your conservative opponent >2:1 in the most expensive race in history AND you can mobilize the electorate like never before, and still lose because the majority of Texans that cared to vote realize you’re not representative of Texas and don’t have the wants, needs, and desires of Texans at heart.

Sweeping generalizations really can’t be made about Texans based on this election cycle. Except that it’s still hard AF to win in Texas if you’re running as anything other than an R unless you’re in an uncontested D district in Texas. Of the 36 congressional districts, in only two contested races did the seat flip from R to D, with a 3rd not yet called (Hurd’s district).

There could not have been a mass shooting in California. They have strict gun control laws to prevent those from happening.

Allred won as the dems got out in force and voted. I don't think all of them voted for BETO (or Loopy) as urban centers pretty much control the politics. Yes, a lot just pushed the blue button. Many local races went blue this time and they control the local stuff.
