Parts for such cars are not cheap, and not usually kept in stock because of their high prices.

That why evey mechanic should own a 10 sec car. When someone's hot rod comes in. I have no need or want to give it gas. Chances are it's slower than what's back at home. Really helps with the temptation.

The computer went bad because he didn’t have the battery on a charger, and he got rid of it after replacing it.

He let me take it for spin once, because I’m the one who pulled out of his shop. I think he was hoping I’d wreck it for him.

The Ferrari was cool, but the big Benz he replaced it with was way more practical. My buddy hung on to the Mercedes. He had to replace rims because his dad’s driver managed to mess them all up.

Temptation isn't the only factor. Arrogance and ignorance IMO also play a large part. Ignorant of what the cars are really capable of doing and the power that they have. Arrogant in thinking that they are better drivers that they really are.
