I went through pilot training at Reese ('71-'72). Good memories of LBB. Bought a Ruger Single-Six at K-Mart, a 10/22 at Furr's (for $42.50, new), and a Lyman/Uberti 1858 Remington replica at Farmer's Exchange. Still have them all.
