I moved from New Mexico (and Oregon before that) to indulge a longtime love affair with the land of my ancestors. One GGF murdered in August 1856 near Burnet, partner of Logan Vandeveer in the first store there. Another GGF was a private in the First Texas Mounted Volunteers, enlisted in Austin, May of 1847. Great grandparents married Buffalo Gap, 1880. Grandmother born in Swedonia (hence the online name), a few miles east of Roby, in 1893. That sort of thing.
Do not fear that I bring Oregon lefty political baggage as that is one reason I quit that place.
Like fooling with just about everything that goes bang, including real black-powder firearms and air guns. As a matter of fact, I just shot my first airgun field target match with a bunch of very nice guys near Clifton.
