Another new guy!

Howdy folks,
Yes, another new guy thread :-)
Born and raised in Norway, moved to California in 2001 (caused by a woman), after 2012 divorce and latest round of crazy stuff on the left coast, decided to re-invent my life and move to Texas.
Took until very recently to make it all happen, tho.
Now married to a great Oklahoma girl, just bought a house in Dallas.

Looking to get back into some simple competition shooting, IDPA, 3gun, practical rifle or that kind of stuff.
Have some handguns, a bullet button AR, a PTR-32 and just bought a new M+M Industries M10X.

I've gone to a couple of outdoor ranges but haven't found what I'm looking for, which is
-Allowed to do some rapid fire, for example double taps
-Bays with targets and shooting on the move
-Allowed to re-position targets and barricades and stuff
Not that I'm all tactical and operator and all, but looking for more than a "sit there and send rounds downrange" kind of thing.

Any ole how; glad to be on the ground in Dallas, as bumper stickers say "Wasn't born here but got here as fast as I could"

Or, search gun clubs as they are often more adaptable to members needs.

Absolutely still speak Norwegian. Can go weeks between talking to family and friends, so occasionally I have to reach for the right words..
