I am guessing guys who like guns have similar quirks such as getting misty eyed over well tuned BBCs and lavish quantities of Snap on Tools. Testing another theory here:
    Adcom GFA555 II amp
    Adcom GTP 450 Pre
    Vandersteen 2CE speakers

Had this system for about 15 years and I am still thrilled with it. Any other noise makers here?

Yes, but I've softened often the years.... using HK receivers these days, and Dynaudio speakers. Do more HT then stereo these days.... My last car won 6th place in the IASCA world finals for sound quality back in '98 if that counts at all :)

Yes, but once digital came along...I'm ashamed to say this to you, Hawg...but I put my stereo equipment out in the garage. The last fifteen years I've spent so much time either away from home, or at home in front of the computer, that I just never listened to it anymore. As a self-described audiophile, I'm so ashamed....(poor TrailDust holds his head in his hands, but peeks to see if Hawg's going to hit him....)

    :lolz:

Cool...I'm not alone in my shame.

BTW, have you recorded any of your LPs and converted them to digital? I got my system out about five years ago and converted quite a number of impossible to find albums in WAV files and also MP3s. So glad I did that....

Tubes and vinyl............a true purist. Tube amps produce the best sounds. Direct coupling or newer methods can only mimmick.
