Hey all,
Some time ago I posted a question about handgun training in the DFW area. However, I'd like opinions from anyone who has taken Level 1, 2, or 3 handgun training with Texas Concealed Carry Institute in McKinney. Their website is txconcealedcarry.com.
I'm not looking at them for LTC carry; I already have my LTC. I'm curious about any experiences in their handgun training programs. I've been shooting for 30 years and am very proficient with the function of most handgun platforms, but am looking for something to take my range experience into practical application. Their Level 1 handgun sounds like it's a pretty serious course, lasting up to 10 hours and requiring 600 - 800 rounds of ammunition. I'm not looking for something to teach basic handgun handling and function; I'm looking for something to really get deep into using a handgun in stresful defensive situations. It appears the guys who run this are LEO instructors.
Anyway, if you have any feedback on their non-LTC handgun courses, I'd certainly appreciate it!
