This is actually what I've been trying to tell the Occupy Wall Street people. A lot of people seem to have decided they are powerless within the republic without even bothering to full participate. (Admittedly, I do understand the frustration with the inordinate power special interest monies can have on the process.)

Don't bother, that's not what the whiney-whiners are about. Outside of the instigators and true believers (AKA useful idiots), the bulk of the Occupiers are people that don't think they should have to pay their dues.

Just offer them a straw.
