What I really mean, is some place to go out and shoot some cans, bottles, etc., like when I was a kid. I don't know anyone who owns any land out in the boonies. Sure would be nice to take the wife out and do some plinking with my .357 and her 9mm. Maybe the good ole days from when I was a kid are over.

Looking at it from a different perspective, most land owners wouldn't be too happy with someone shooting cans and bottles on their property, since it would be difficult to clean up. When I lived in some other states that allowed shooting on public lands, the biggest problem was the mess that most shooters left behind after their day of plinking, which led to a ban on shooting in those areas.

You might want to check the TSRA website for a club close to your area. Our local Graham club only charges $50 per year and I think the NWTFS club in Wichita Falls is either $25 or $40 for the year.

Ralph's Gun Range. Joe Bob Rd. Tom Bean Tx. Google it.
Its three bucks, open range. Kinda in town, but legal and out doors.

Come help load hay next year and I'll give you and the wife a place to go plink. I'll even help empty a few of the cans (no bottles). You will need to police you're own brass & cans though.
